Did you know that there are thousands of multiple listing services throughout the US?  Some are small, some are very large.  They each cover certain territories (counties), and some overlap each other.  In Washington state, here are the MLS systems and the territories they cover:

NWMLS: the larges in Washington, covering 18 counties (most of the west side and now about 3-4 counties in E. Washington
RMLS: covers Clark county
SAR: the Spokane MLS, covers Spokane, Stevens and Pend Orielle counties
Yakima MLS: covers Yakima county
NCWMLS: covers Chelan and Douglas counties
Tri-Cities MLS: covers Benton county
Chelan MLS: covers ONLY the small town of Chelan and the Lake Chelan area, and the realtor must live in Chelan city area to belong to it.
